bridget + vinny – philadelphia engagement

This is a story that’s been a long time in the making with two people that I’ve known for almost twenty years. Yes, you read that correctly – twenty years. Well, nearly. We like to round up here…

Don’t worry – I won’t go into ALL the details, because first and foremost: I want the images to speak for themselves. And if I’m keeping it real, some of those tidbits of time and places past weren’t always so…pleasant. But as with any lesson in life, the triumphs of growth, change and love will always, always prevail and overcome the rest.

Bridget & Vinny have been in each other’s inner circle for nearly two decades; they’ve had great times and not so great times but there’s persisted an undeniable thread of connection between these two beautiful humans that is something very, very special. It started a long time ago, yes, but it’s been weaving and moving and adapting as its gone and to see where they’ve come from and to know where they’re going is nothing short of extraordinary.

It’s an absolute honor to my life that they asked me to join their road to the Big Day – as their photographer for the engagement fun – but also as a bridesmaid. It’ll be a highlight to my days that I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to fully express.

But until May 2021, I leave you with that extra-special loveliness and joy they emanated so vividly in their downtown Philadelphia sunset session. So much of it that my job was more ‘watch it unfold’… which is the ultimate for me. x
